Delhi airport to close T2 for 4-6 months from April for refurbishment

In a significant move to enhance passenger experience, the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi will temporarily close Terminal 2 (T2) for refurbishment starting from April. The closure is expected to last between four to six months, during which time the terminal will undergo extensive upgrades.

The refurbishment plan aims to modernize facilities and improve operational efficiency. Passengers scheduled to travel during this period are advised to check their terminal details as airlines operating from T2 will be relocated to other terminals.

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has assured that measures will be taken to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth transitions for passengers. The airport handles a significant portion of India’s air traffic, and this upgrade is part of its ongoing efforts to maintain world-class infrastructure.

Further updates, including the new airline terminal allocations, will be communicated closer to the refurbishment start date.
